WHAT
IS THE FIREARM SAFETY AND TRAINING COUNCIL LTD (FSTC)
The
Firearm Safety and Training Council Ltd is a Registered Training Organisation
(RTO) approved by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
The
FSTC is the only organisation to accredit individuals applying for a
firearms licence with the national standard under the Standards for NVR Regitered Training Organisations..
The
FSTC will customise a training program to suit the needs of the individual
or corporation and will accredit applicants with a national standard
where applicable.
The
FSTC is in the forefront of the design and delivery of feral animal
control programs where science and best practice come together through
its Pest Animal Control Service (PACS) service.
The
FSTC is a public company and was initially formed in 1991 with the express
purpose of administering the pre-licence firearm safety testing program
on behalf of the NSW government for individuals wishing to hold a firearms
licence under the Firearms Act.
The
Council has evolved in accordance with the principle of training excellence
and is today the foremost registered training organisation (RTO) in
firearms training Australia wide. The Council is accredited by the NSW
Police Service and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
