To become a kangaroo harvester you must be able to demonstrate firearms competence. This involves knowledge of the legal requirements of firearms usage and ownership and the ability to shoot accurately to an industry standard. The shooting test will ensure that your equipment is in good working order and that you have the shooting ability to use the firearm safely. The test will also determine that you are able to shoot accurately so that all animals harvested are taken humanely. Regional centres for the shooting test are:
