MINORS AND FIREARM SAFETY TRAINING
Minors are persons aged over 12 years but under 18 years. Minors are required to obtain a Statement of Attainment in Firearm Safety prior to applying for a minor's firearms permit.
The procedure is the same as for an adult course except that the theory test consists of 5 multiple-choice questions. It is necessary to answer 5 out of 5 correctly to pass.

A fee of $70.00 including GST is payable to the Firearms Safety and Training Officer before undertaking the course.
This Statement of Attainment must accompany your minor's permit application.
