SAFETY OFFICER NEWS

Thank you to all Firearms Safety Awareness Officers and their Clubs

The Council is grateful for your support and would like to formally recognise your contribution to community safety. It is your effort that has helped to keep shooting among the safe sports in our community.

If you have completed four or more tests during the year you will also find enclosed a cheque made out to your club from the NSW Firearms Safety Awareness Council Ltd. The cheque will be to the value of $50, at the lower end of the scale, to $500 at the top end depending on the number of tests completed by you during the year.

This is an incentive payment for Safety Officers that, in addition to the testing money already earned for your club, will further enhance the financial viability of your club. Participation in sport in NSW is falling. We intend to take every opportunity to ensure that the sport of shooting remains a strong, safe and progressive sport.

Remember to:

  1. Remit Safety Awareness Certificates within 3 months of issue.
  2. Let us know when you or your Club has a change of address or phone number.
  3. Let us know when your Club elects a new executive.
